I am 32 years old and have an interview with a VC firm. I have an MBA from NYU and most of my experience has been with CPA firms that do business valuations for litigation purposes. The methodologies of valuation are similar to what is done in the I/B arena (find guideline companies, dcf models), however, I do not have specific I/B experience.
After graduating from NYU, I was VP of a manufacturing company and sold off two subsidiaries. I was involved in finanical budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and cash flow mgt.
I receieved this VC job opportunity through a referral so I am coming in highly recommended. This is my dream job and opportunity.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prepare? What are VC companies looking for in a candidate? What should I say and what should i not say?
Your help is greatly appreciated!!!!! |
