In Reply To: I went through the 2005 National examination for Finance and was recently convoked for an interview. My interview is in less than 15 days and I want to know if anyone had gone through the interview process under the Competitive Recruitment Examinations Programme. They say that they will present 3 open-ended questions to anser in 15 mins at the end of the interview, Would anyone have a clue on what to expect. Any insight advice on the general interview process and what to expect. I have a Bachlors in Finance, Strategic Management, and Information Systems. I'm currently working on completing my accounting designation and an MBA. I'm very interested in joining the UN and specially to have the opportunity to represent my home country at the UN. So, any advice from people who have passed the interview would be appreciated.
Message: How was your interview TheRecruit? Currently, I'm working in public accounting, while completing the CPA examination. I'm seriously considering taking the National exam for Finance as well, however not until I complete my CPA exam. One test at a time. I also have an undergraduate degree in finance, coupled with a masters in accounting and 3 years of service in public accounting. I wonder what value the UN places upon professional experience? I would really like to hear from you, or anyone that has insight to the process, regarding a) the National exam for Finance, and b) the interview process. Thank you very much and I'm sure that you did great in your interviews.
