I personally think taking one month off a year is better than what we've got going on in the states. It would make work so much more productive having 30 days of vacation to look forward to. Plus, once you return from a vacation, you'd feel so much more relaxed. Stress level would go down tremendously. You'd feel refreshed and ready get back into the swing of things. One week - and even two week - vacations go by too quickly. Next thing you know, you're back in the office and hating it.
The only bad thing about the European deal is that everyone takes the SAME month off. If you spread that out through the year, it would work out fine. |

I personally think anything less than 4 weeks vacation is shortsighted, woefully inadequate and insulting. We all work extremely hard all year. I take one week for the holidays and one in the summer. I always come back tired, burnt out and resentful, this just is not enough and never will be. We produce a hell of a lot of revenue for these companies and get screwed when it comes to vacation time.
