I don't know where you get your figures, but I challenge you to find a single American professional who is able to work less than 48 hours per week... I think you will find 50 to 60 is more the norm, and some people actually work upwards of 80 hours a week. |

I work for an investment consulting firm as a financial analyst. We have busy periods and slow periods. As a result, if you average it out, we work about 45 hours a week. And, our department gets six weeks of paid vacation. But we have to take one week every three months, and the other two we can bunch up.
