I am looking for a quality session for a new manager, someone who has never managed people before. It would be great to find an online tutorial or an org with a good track record in Chicago which provides 1/2 day training in Management for New Managers. |

The best training for a new manager would be to join a Dale Carnegie Training program. Either the basic program in leadership or the management program for managers. Because of the time spaced learning, your manager comes back to the job and PRACTICES new skills and ideas. They also have a chance EVERY WEEK to interface with other managers in the area and learn how they handled every day challeneges. Dale Carnegie in your area is conducted through Adams/Bowen Associates. They have a great track record in this area.
