Message: I am tyring to make the transition into the internet/e-commerce worlds. I have gotten a lot of interest for Project/Engagement/ Strategy manager positions, and have been told that my diverse technical background and solid project management skills transfer very easily into e-commerce management. The lone negative of no direct e-commerce experience is always addressed -- by the interviewer -- as being paired with an experienced manager for a couple of weeks before going it alone. But for the life of me, I cannot get any of the companies to extend an offer. I know companies sometimes send false signals just to be polite to people they have no interest in, but it is difficult to believe that each company would be so enthusiastic about my potential, only to have none of them extend offers. What am I missing? What else can I do? TIA.
