I just started my education to get a BA in telecommunications management. I was really excited about becoming a network planner or something to that effect. Lately it seems that I am probably wasting a lot of time and money since the job market is nonexistent. I have another year until I am supposed to graduate. It's not to late to change fields. Any advice as to what i should do? Does network planning have any kind of future? Changing my major will break my heart but if it must be done.......I was so excited cause I finally figured out what I want to be "when I grow up." Just my luck. Some feedback might help give me an idea of what to start thinking about. |

well, the bubble burst, but the market is still there. so i wouldnt call your education a waste of time and effort.
Bandwidth demand is still growing almost doubling twice a year. what isnt in place are the right business models. and as we all know demand drives the business. so hang in there...hopefully by the time you graduate, you will be a sought-after commodity...
