Many companies (fortune 500) made significant investments in mainframes years ago and bailed on them. They still have them and realized that they can use them now for cost savings. Try the larger multi-nationals.
I know for a fact that GE capital and corporate are using them again and looking for more ways to use them in the future. |

I hear that you can run hundreds of Linux instances on a single mainframe, and that it's like a web server farm with kickass performance.
