In Reply To: Take it from me. If you want to get into IT where there are plenty of people clamoring for competent (or even only HALF competent) candidates, it's IT security. Computer and Internet security from not only viruses, but hackers, is a big concern these days, so there are a lot of companies who need personnel who can do it! I work at a small Pennsylvanian recruiting firm, and there are always people who want good, competent security guys. Until you have at least a bit of education, submit resumes with the fact that you are working on a security degree. After you have at least minor knowledge, submit your resume for not only whatever you did before, but security too.
Message: Best bet: Get the CISSP exam.... you will need to learn quite alot and very fast.... Get a MSc in Science Program, Info sec or something else. Understand Privacy, Law and business. Good luck
