In Reply To: You just got a response from a recruiter and those people are the scum of the earth. That guy masquerades as someone interested in you ?? who wants to help you. It??s a scam. Recruiters see dollar signs when they see you because that??s what you are to them. They are salespeople and they will sell anything. In this case they peddle flesh ?? and you know what that makes them don??t you? PIMPS They act like they are on your side. They are NOT. Their agency (bork) is paid by their client to find talent (you). You do NOT pay them so CROOTERS DO NOT WORK FOR YOU. THEY DO NOT REPRESENT YOU. THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR WELFARE. Their only objective is to peddle your ass to their client. Remember, they peddle flesh. They will misrepresent facts, lie, cheat, steal, or anything else needed to make money. They brag about making ??6 FIGURE INCOMES??. It??s a lie. They lie to impress you. They misuse resumes. You need to get an education. Message: I respect that most recruiting companies ARE losers. Which is why the recruiting firm I work at has stopped doing splits with other recruiting companies. They lie, cheat, etc, but most of the two or three person companies actually DO care, because you're not an ID number to them. BELIEVE ME. I've worked at a small recruiting company in PA for the past year, and there's just me, the President, and a SIXTY YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER working there. For almost all of the candidates, we know stuff like how many kids they have, gone out to lunch (our treat) etc. I respect your opinion, but I would, personally, NEVER do that sort of stuff because I know someone gets hurt. a recruiter did that to my dad years back( told him to change who he worked for and what he did and when ) and Dad got fired after a month. And never worked there again. There's this thing called ethics that, I agree, most MOST recruiting companies are a bit defecient in. But there are the rare ones who aren't. My brother just got out of college, so I can relate. Just keep trying. Ben had to get a low down job at a bank here, but got promoted after only 6 months, so he's in a decent job. You'll be fine if the stuff you learned to get your degree is still with you.
