I am a network communications consultant, and I've ran into mainframe systems at medical facilities and airports... check there too :) If you want more information, ask this question of computer field technicians with a broad based job description, they are sure to give you more areas to look into. |

Many companies (fortune 500) made significant investments in mainframes years ago and bailed on them. They still have them and realized that they can use them now for cost savings. Try the larger multi-nationals.
I know for a fact that GE capital and corporate are using them again and looking for more ways to use them in the future.
