I am interviewing for a positions coding at several tech companies. I am also a recreational drug user-- it doesn't effect my work in the slightest, and I would NEVER use drugs during work. However, I don't see any reason why I should stop-- I enjoy it. My question is this: do tech companies test? if so, is there any way I can find out before actually being hired? Moreover, do companies look at marijuana usage the same way that they look at use of other drugs?

Every company I've ever worked for has had manditory drug testing. Assume the company will test you. If you fail the test they probably won't offer you a job. One more thing, stay off the road you're an accident waiting to happen.
