I do not understand why the industry is crying that there is a shortage of people .
When in Fact is a vast oversaturation of extreme inteligent qualified people out there , without - i.e in this wonderfull booming economy .
Just a recent trip to the NYC career fare open houses , wil prove that - elbow to elbow people ,barely enough space to walk from booth to booth .
Anybody wanting to go in this busines i.e IT industry must be crazy .
Constantly having to go to school and, mind you at my expense only to get a job for the same miserable stagnated salary of two years ago , and some ocasions even significantly lower .
And I done it all Networking, Remote Administration ,QA Testing
I.e i was offered positions for 22k /anum .In NYC area
I am considering getting out !!
What is going in this industry ??
Answer The market is grosly oversaturated

You must be nuts. Every moron who dropped out of college due to lack of IQ is in programming now and starting salaries for those are $45-50. I personally know people who don't know what a logarithm is and working on VB making those money. Others, especially in NYC start from $60K. Every programmer I know in NYC with 3 yrs of experience is pulling $100K a year. I wouldn't call that stagnant salaries.
