I am the Internet Research Specialist at Comms People, Inc. and we are looking to sponsor one or an occasional meeting that are held by Usergroups in the Bay Area exlcluding NT and Novell. We would like to be able to provide attendees and members with pizza or snacks in exchange for allowing us to introduce ourselves.

Alyssa,
I'm sure you're just doing your job and trying very hard, but these loudmouths are correct. Pizza and snacks is not going to attract anybody. Especially in the Bay Area. I'm a recruiter too and I can tell you that you're going to have to get on the phone and talk to people. Learn what they do, where they want to go and extract as much information about them to understand what opportunity would be a fit for them, not you.
You want to be percieved as a professional. Pizza and snacks aren't going to cut it. And neither is the forum in which you plan on meeting them.
