Hi,
I am currently a student at WIU and majoring in Information Management and Technology. I am required to take two semesters of cobol. I am curious as to if this is a waste of time. I am interested in information that would help me to convince the department chair that taking another language would be more beneficial to the students of WIU. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also, is anyone using cobol? Do you find it a necessary language to know? Which languages would you reccomend as alternatives to the Cobol requirement?
