Don't be misled into thinking that an MBA is valuable to Target. Although the company now requires college degrees for promotion to salaried management, the value on education is simply a paper drill. It is common practice for current employees seeking advancement to go to the degree mills and purchase their degree. My thought is that it is a known practice to obtain fraudulent credentials in order to get promoted.
As far as salary goes...depends on your background. Big box retail experience is what hiring managers typically look for. Salaries are dependent on locale and past experience.
Recent college grads look to start in the low to mid $40's with placement as ETLs. As far as direct hire to STL or DTL - there are few and far between.
Truth be told, an MBA should not be looking at Target unless you have a real passion for retail - putting up with long hours and manual labor. |
