Do not have first-hand experience with KFXA since I live here in Nebraska but I do have friends at KGAN. From the understanding I have, KFXA is The Fox station in Dubuque and is affiliated with KGAN. I also believe KGAN helps to produce the 9:00 P.M. news at The Fox Station in Des Moines, Iowa. That sounds like a lot of sharing and wearing the resources thin. The friend I have says they are way back in the ratings. Guess who owns them? That would be Sinclair. Proceed at your own risk. |

KFXA is the fox station in Cedar Rapids. KFXA oversees operations of KGAN. KFXA is owned by another company, while KGAN is owned by Sinclair. KGAN also produces the 9:00 fox show for the sinclair-owned Fox station in Des Moines. The new morning will be on KFXA.
After cut backs, staff is being built back up. Cedar Rapids is the 2nd largest city in Iowa, and only 30 miles from Iowa City, home of the Univ. of Iowa.
