The wx guy and news gal are obvious but are there other first timers? I don't know of any other (no experience) people at any other Tulsa station. I must say I'm surprised because there are always talented people at small to medium sized markets willing to work in Tulsa. |

There are more talented people in smaller markets who deserve a chance to work in Tulsa, but the management at KTUL is more content to underpay less qualified interns to do the work.
Let's see the weekend weather and sports anchors had zero on air work until sucking up to the gm as interns. There are two news reporters who went straight from internships to on air work. Finally, when Travis left they slid a guy who worked the assignment desk into the weather department.
What's most disturbing is these "newbies" drive around in their new Mercedes, Lexuses, Acuras, & BMWs while the rest of us get to work in more modest forms of transportation.
KTUL is the ONLY station in Tulsa to hire people without a tape and no on air experience. If you go to work for anyone make it one of the other three stations because most likely your tape won't even get looked at with KTUL.
