A little too sensitive about this subject? I suspect your responses amount to whistling past the graveyard. I suspect you are a little too worried for your own good. Because, in your heart you know I am right. All it takes is one station manager or one desperate news manager to get rid of you on a whim....and it shall happen somewhere...more sooner than later.

Moving to news isn't so bad. Better hours. Less work than in sports. More respect from those in the newsroom. Plus, you are already have a "name" in the community from your work in sports.
