Judge can't overturn Not Guilty |

I agree with the jury. Also their decision must have been correct or the judge would invoke "jury nullification" and issue his own decision.
Personally I think it was just a bunch of guys foolin' around. Guys do strange things when in a circle. But, we know he's got some problems, getting the race change etc. And you know those nose jobs must have been painful! |

The judge can throw out a guilty verdict, but he can't throw out a not guilty verdict.
By the way, "jury nullifcation" is what happened in the OJ case. The jury decides that for its own reasons, it's going to reach a verdict regardless of the facts.
OJ's jury was pissed because the prosecution dragged the case out, and they responded to the charges that Mark Furman was a racist, by refusing to convict another black man just because police were always picking on black men. Clearly, that wasn't an issue in this case.
