That's why they invented the split screen. You could have easily of carried both at the same time. Clearly your better pictures were with the plane. Jacko wasn't a video-worthy story at all.
You owed it to your local viewers and your community to carry the plane crash. The plane COULD have actually changed a lot of folks lives in your market (and probably did). Wacko getting off scott-free didn't affect one single viewer in your market. Not one.
And in the end, that's what local news is supposed to be all about. L-O-C-A-L news. |

the stations down here all tried the 2-box method but it was really really akward (sp?).
