get it. The rest of you don't. Sports on local TV is headed for the tar pits- to never be seen again except on local stations' anniversary shows. If you are not good enough for ESPN , Fox Sports Net or Comcast, start re-defining your role in broadcasting or make plans for another career cause your's is about to end.

Define good enough to be on ESPN/Fox Sports Net. Have you seen some of their talent lately? I could pull a Senior out of the Syracuse communications school who'd be better than alot of the "talent on ESPNNews and FSN.
local programming, on the heels of network game coverage will help local sports, and generate revenue. that's a fact. Any city with a major college or pro program will always have sports. 20,00-80,000 people don't spill out of city council meetings every weekend.
