get it. The rest of you don't. Sports on local TV is headed for the tar pits- to never be seen again except on local stations' anniversary shows. If you are not good enough for ESPN , Fox Sports Net or Comcast, start re-defining your role in broadcasting or make plans for another career cause your's is about to end.

Dropping sports is about as ludicrious as a daily newspaper dropping its sports section--what paper in their right mind would do that and still keep readers??? Show me a station that's #1 in its market that's dropped sports and I might buy into your thinking. But 'til then...I don't think so. As long as you can make money for your station--you've got a gig no matter what you do--if you can't, you won't.
