Message: This is a win-win for the GM. He promotes a woman (big corporate plus) who does what she is told and who doesn't need to be paid like some ND who has held a variety of positions at stations in different markets. Read below... by the way... Rod Decker is the reporter who passed on the famous Olympic scandal document. She was his assistant. 6/10/2005--KUTV Channel 2 news director Steve Charlier, who led the station through its transition to a new downtown Salt Lake City office during his four-year tenure, has resigned to take a position running two television news stations in Sacramento, Calif. Tanya Vea, KUTV's current assistant news director, will replace Charlier as head of Channel 2's news division. Vea joined the station nine years ago as an intern for the sports department and for reporter Rod Decker.
