Having said that... when was the last time a missing person who wasn't white and attractive got such huge airplay and hour long shows devoted to them? This is on my list of peeves, along with "why did we care about the Peterson case?". I was so sick of that case being singled out for AD NAUSEUM coverage. I don't know anyone who ever talked about it casually besides news folk.
There are plenty of people missing on a daily basis. However, if they are poor, or minorities, or ugly, they are not ever going to be national news.
