.....maybe myinvoice was confrontational in how they posted the message. But, be honest folks. You rarely see minorities interviewed re: storm damage. As a news lifer, I always look for unique stories when it comes to covering the inevitable storms, mudslides, blizzards, etc. I would LIKE to see the story about how Chico's family restaurant was destroyed and the neighborhood pulled together. Or what about a story about female daycare workers who forsake their families to care for the children left in their care? How about talking to Black male orderlies working overtime to mae sure the elderly are taken to higher ground. Come on news people...there ARE other stories. |

you rarely see poor people interviewed anywhere.
and since, its only been the last 12 years--we've had an emerging black middle class, thats your culprit.
an african american making 240,000 a year, has more in common with a caucasian making the same, then he does, a poor person of the same race making 6 bucks an hour.
as african americans are given more opportunities to earn good incomes---race will be less relevent.
what you will see is socio-economic prejudice. Which has always been america's unspoken enemy.
