The news has to be current and informational. It is a dis-service to the audience to shape news for the Game-Boy generation with too many graphics, too little depth of news coverage and writing, and tabloid over hard fact! The Game-Boy generation should be challenged when watching the news not talked down to. How are we to encourage an interest in current (and future) events if what we are showing is only a shallow flash of color between commercials? Producing must be more cohesive, writing musts be more challenging, and the graphics must not be the focus of the news presentation.
