I did that route and I still got fired! So guess what? Union is the only way to go! Especially with the work climate the way it is!
As for the new members of NABET-CWA Local 51, the fight's not over yet! Keep pushing for a fair contract! |

I didn't say "unions are bad" I said this was the WRONG TIME for a union vote. Look at KOIN's situation.
A Union vote will note help anyone now.
as for better owners and managers, If you are any good at your job, YOU pick who you work for. Its their station. If you don't like them, work somewhere else.
I left a great market once because my boss was an idiot. that's how it works. you move on. You don't expect a freakin' union to protect you from assh0les.
all they do is set wages and benefits, and take your dues.
you have been sukered into believing they "protect jobs."
That just does not happen. If a manager wants to fire you, they do. and your recourse is under the fair labor laws, wether you are union or not. the union doesn't have any teeth in that area.
