I'm shy, and a bit quiet. I do a good job and go home. I'm sure my lack of "blab-ability" has been interpreted as rude at times. I never get invited to coworker happy hours. But those who do know me say I'm very likeable.
I'M REAL. My advice: Never be fake and engage in phony conversations if you're not into it. There's just too much of that in my newsroom.
I;ve never kissed ass either and I'm sure it's held me back at times, but like I said, at least I'm real.
