Message: Ok so maybe i exagerated a little... the anchors were NOT funnier than boom... but with all the attention and ridicule being dumped on him, and the fact that school is meant to be a learning experience, how about we use this as a tool... 1. if i was on a show that melted down like that one, the last thing I would do at the end is say, "thanks brian." Good Lord in heaven it's as if you weren't paying attention. You MUST acknowledge what happened in some way. Laugh it off, blame it on technical errors... SOMETHING and as the ANCHOR of the show that's as much a part of your job as "being solid." 2. Did you do anything to help him out of the jam while the bus ran over him? Like point to the copy that he couldn't find, maybe try to get your mic on so you could at least give the scores at the end? 3. "These things" do NOT happen from time to time, that's why it spread all over the internet and why we are here now...but something will happen again because it's live tv and you had BETTER be more ready than you were while Brian melted down... you are a team out there... you need to help each other as best you can and in most circumstances you DO just bite the bullet and move on... but sorry to hurt your feelings, I just don't think you handled it well... I will give you that at least you said something.... and you had decided to ignore it and move on. I just think that was the wrong way to do it. Could you have done more?? only you can really know, but look in the mirror or keep blaming brian, it does not matter to me... i have my job and had my meltdowns to learn from in the past... you are just getting started.
