Gloria is a ticking time bomb. Her snide, nasty little comments about people behind their backs is going to come back to haunt her. She is a lawsuit just waiting to happen.
I can not believe Gannett hasn't put a stop to her abusive and threatening behavior. HR has had numerous complaints against her and Comings just turned his head. You would thing that would change now.
Like the above posted stated, management needed to fire one more person Monday morning. |

seems to run through this thread ...(redundancy intended).
Comings was solid but was brought down by a lame news concept and an ME who seems to have engendered a lot more hostility than I've ever seen anyone in that position shake a stick at.
KOVR sacked an ND who against all odds seemed to be able to keep a mishmash cast of characters and outdated equipment up and running, but was still able to turn out a viable product.
And another ND who's still in the big chair but had better start minding his p's and q's before he winds up on a beach surin' safari.
All in all an interesting mix. How will it shake out?
If there's justice in the world:
Lemon gets snapped up by an up and coming top 15-20 that needs a quick fixer upper who can get the job done with a minimum of fuss and muss.
Comings sits on the beach for a bit and has time to reflect on his lame touchy-feely approach to news. He'll get hired but will have time to reflect on his misguided ways. Maybe Moraga will float him a few bucks in the meantime.
Dan would be wise to realize that the cut/slash/flash approach he's tried with a bunch of newbies won't play to an audience that's used to top notch journalism. Viacom are the barbarians at the gate.
Will he respond? Stay tuned (but not to mega-weather plus) for the results on this clash of the top 20 titans.
