Readthenews1,
Others have encouraged me to call this news director. I know he either won??t take my call or he??ll hang up on me. Hell, he wouldn??t talk to me or look me in the eye the whole time I worked for him. This is a very vindictive individual. But, he did others that way too.
You know you just get frustrated after sending out hundreds of tapes. The stations show interest, and you wonder what he??s going to say this time, will they believe him, am I done, will I work again. Another wasted interview and time just keeps passing by. It just has to get better. It is so damn frustrating.
Let me ask you this, did you back up that letter to the news director with one to his bosses or employers/owners....or do you not think that??s necessary. Times are tough right now and I??m hanging on by a thread. So, how much would that cost to get an attorney to do that?
I would also ask that you people who believe in the good Lord above say a prayer or two for me on this matter.
Thanks,
SP

I was lucky. My brother had a friend who's father was an attorney. He handled it for me for free. He didn't even had to send a letter. A phone call took care of it. I know money can be very tight but I would say that hiring an attorney would be money well spent. Think about it. If you think sending out tapes while he's bad-mouthing you is a waste money, spend some of that money on legal help. It doesn't have to be expensive. It would probably be worth it to get peace of mind and take control of your life, instead of feeling helpless. I will say a prayer for you, too.
