I totally agree with you..
I could care less why that woman ran out. How is there gonna be enough stuff for a movie? I won't watch it...

Wilbanks profiting from her stunt - if that's how it will go down - is an absolute outrage.
If I'm the DA in her hometown, I make a request that the county be paid IN FULL.
Yes, there oughtta be a law. I'm fairly certain convicted killers in some/most states are prohibited from making dough as a result of their infamy. Not sure how all the bases could be covered regarding the likes of Wilbanks and Audrey Seiler, but I'll throw out two words:
1) Charity
2) Karma
