I once had to stop a psycho news director from telling a company interested in me all kinds of crazy things. He had a reputation of following people around, trying to ruin their chances to find employment. After he spun a really nutty tail, that got back to me, I had an attorney call him and, lo and behold, he shut his mouth and left me alone. And, keep in mind, he had been doing this kind of thing for years, ruining people's lives. I refused to let him do that to me. Taking action can't make things any worse. At least this way, you have taken control of your situation and you're not just sitting back, waiting for someone else to make all the moves. Good luck. I know this is a horrible feeling because I've been there. |
