Dear State: Yes, there are ignorant Southerners who mis-use the language. But there are no such ignorant Northerners, Mid-westerners,
Californians "mangling" the language?
Have you heard of Walker Percy, Eudora Welty, Flannery O'Conner, Faulkner, Shelby Foote, Capote, just to name a few Southerners who did not "mangle"?
If you wanta gripe about people throwing stones at groups, you should stop your own sef! |

and I knew after I wrote that I would get a comment from somoeone like you. I pointed out the South, because that's what I know being born in Texas and working mainly in Southern states.
