Well, it certainly has been the week of the Long Knives
here, hasn't it. One bad
decision, one right on.
Jim Lemon is a good guy who
deserved better treatment. Of
course, the new regime there
doesn't care for or respect
decent people, that g.m. loves
underhanded, fake, screamers
and he expects all of his
managers to follow that path.
Come to think of it, that's
just what's happening. Jim
didn't stand a chance in that
environment even though he
managed to keep that creaky,
leaky ship afloat while bossed
by one of the worst group of
villains in b'casting. Some
other smart g.m. should take a
good look at Jim.
And at Ch 10, what goes around
comes around..guess Ron will
discover how it feels when
people don't return HIS phone
calls, ever.
As for the remaining big station N.D., Dan better think
less about bad, inaccurate,
overstated, overblown promos
and that insane WEATHER PLUS,
PLUS, CHIEF METEOROLOGIST,
GURU junk and more about good
quality , accurate stories and
hiring some adult, experienced
reporters. KCRA got to be Number 1 for a reason and Dan apparently hasn't figured out what that reason is. If he doesn't soon, my guess is he'll wind up as part of the
Sacto trifecta !! |

Sacramento news has been stale for a while. Even the number one station couldn't hold a candle to a well run medium size market station. Their technical difficulties are so amatuer. While many of us love Dave and Lois, it's time guys. Really it's time. And the number two team DOES NOT need to be bumped to their positions. I think Lambert and a talented young hispanic male anchor should lead up the team. The station is so bland it's sickening in a city that's so diverse.
I was really growing sick of the sugary sweet ch. 10. The promos in which the anchors attempt to adlib the teases is painful and frightening. The main anchor team are like bread and crackers, and I don't understand why the main meteorologist isn't swapped with the morning weather talent? Maybe because she wants the morning shift which coincides with her husbands shift on Ch. 3. But there comes a time when a ND has to make decisions based upon what's best for the station and not based upon how much they like someone personally.
On to KOVR, what's with all the new but old talent being shipped in from the East Coast? News flash, viewers don't care to see a grey haired reporter in jeans reporting on a Lindsay Lohen concert.
Fox 40, I like their news when I remember to watch, however the main female anchor seems cold and b-tchy. I'd have just assumed she stayed at home with her baby instead of returning. Also it's CORDOVA not Kor-Do-Vuh no matter how you pronounce it we know your grandmother speaks fluent spanish.
KMAX time for some turnover folks. The talent is getting a little mature for such immature gimmicks.
It's time for a change, time for some new blood to circulate in the Sacramento market.
