Why is it white's are allowed to "act" hip or down or fly or whatever you want to call it on air and it's considered pretty funny or clever? However, when a black person acts.....well, black...he's hated on and ridiculed?
This is especially prevalent in the sportscasting industry. Example...Stuart Scott, who is, by all indications, an African-American male who uses what many would consider slang. When that slang comes out of stu's mouth, people's "hate-dars" go off. However, when a lily white guy...let's say...john anderson...says something like "yo" or "bling" or some other slang term, he's pretty funny?
I don't get it. Bottom line is, isn't it quite ironic blacks on television aren't allowed to be themselves but others are allowed to be just like them (blacks).

I've seen the white people you're referring to... and I've never ONCE thought they were "pretty funny or clever."
