You are an odd one. I've said it so many times although since we don't talk much face-to-face, I usually say it behind your back.
But to say we don't talk... well that's just crazy. Don't you remember the time at the gas station when you walked up, asked if I was the anchor at channel ** and then proceeded to tell me you don't watch the news? How did you know who I was then?
And didn't we just talk on the phone the other day? I was at the assignment desk and you called to complain about a prime time show that wasn't on our network. You then proceeded to berate me because, you only watch channel 8, therefore it MUST have been on our station.
So we talk. You just don't know what you want, and quite frankly you are a nutjob. But we still love each other, so maybe we go to therapy?
We'll give you a live shot from Santa Maria because admit it, you are fascinated by that freak Michael Jackson, but you don't like admitting that you are dancing to the tunes of a child molester. And in return for watching that one story, we won't beat you over the head with it... just one live shot and we'll wrap it in two minutes tops... we won't follow his caravan after the acquital/guilty verdict... we won't cover the juror book deals that are soon to hit the shelves (and you won't buy those books since you don't care right?) and we will absolutely NOT bring any lawyers on set to discuss what has happened over the last six months....
How's that for compromise... we'll keep ONE live shot, and give up the rest... do you promise to watch our Iraq coverage that we will use to fill the extra time? promise to pay attention to our city council stories where we show the colossal WASTE and PORK that is sucking the life out of the country? Cool then we have a deal.
But what if I get an exclusive with the accuser? |
