The best part about the clip is you can Kathi react to it already off-camera as Connie is reading the lead-in...
This is not unprofessional in anyway...This is an example of why Goertzen is probably the most-liked female news anchor in town (apologies to Enerson...) She's a straight-shooter who isn't afraid to offer up the occasional commentary when appropriate...And this is one of those cases for a little good-natured barb at a long-time co-worker...

..has a place, and it's not with nightly news anchors.. at least not like it was presented by KG. That's why they have Ken Schram; He's the commentator for the station--not her.
And even with all the context insiders may add, remember that most viewers will only hear the word "idiot", and not know her rapport with the guy, positive or otherwise.
