That's all well and good, but Dana's "longevity" = "elderly" audience. Correct?
What's the "snowball effect" of lousy demographics?
Let's use the Randy Johnson example again. Cy Young candidate last year, middling pitcher this year, who-knows-what next year. See? Is the dough worth the show?
I'm thinking Halsey. Boy will he be popular if/when he's 15-8 come October, huh??

but I am agreeing with criquifan again. Same thing with Nolan Ryan late in his career.
I just moved to Phoenix late last year. By all the press, you would have thought that Kent was the best thing since sliced bread. Oddly, I liked KPHO's newscasts much better with Catherine and Diana (but then again I was a Diana fan back at NWCN). Kent doesn't have any interaction with the co-anchors. Clearly, Catherine and Diana are supposed to sit there and look good (and let Kent do his "thing").
