In Reply To: I've got a freelancing reporting opportunity in a top 20 market, in my hometown, but the n/d says she can only give me about 2 days a week, possibly more this summer for vacation relief. This station has only 1 other freelancer...but a good track record with keeping and promoting their employees. Is it worth the risk of quitting my job to take this. Moving back home would be a dream. And financially, I can afford it. Just not sure if this is a good move. Quitting my job now would not be a problem since I'm now on month to month Advice? Input? Thanks
Message: I did that...freelancing in a similar market. 2 days turned into 6 and 7 days a week in no time. you know how newsrooms work...they always need more bodies. i got fulltime after a bit more than a year. I would do it again easily.
