Hey, bitterlosersalert-- I don't see your name anywhere on your post. I guess that makes you anonymous too, huh?
It amazes me how many people are still focusing on Dan. I think that points to one strength he had, which was pointed out to me by a good friend at KOIN. Most people disliked Dan, many of them had legitimate reasons. However, as poor as his job performance as a manager may have been, Dan managed to do something no other recent ND at KOIN had done. He managed to unify a huge number of employees. They joined together with one goal-- get Dan out of the management chair and make things better at KOIN. For the first time in a long time, a majority of people got on the same page, got organized and achieved a collective goal.
Dan was a poor choice for ND at KOIN. However, that doesn't mean he won't do well somewhere else. The majority of employees at KOIN are dedicated, hard working professionals. Yes, they felt victimized by Dan's management style-- that does not make them complainers.
The KOIN newsroom has issues just like any newsroom. However, the people who work there are good people trying to do a good job. Meanwhile, Dan will land on his feet somewhere. Doesn't it seem like it's time to move on?

Do you think she's called him to express her condolences? Remember he hired her in Albuquerque...my God. There's a que to his management style with hiring anyway.
