WNYW/WWOR has fired its president and general manager Jim Clayton. Fox was not happy with the direction these two stations are going.
Clayton was GM at Fox2Detroit when Neil Goldstein ruled the newsroom there.

lets face it. everyone wants skip to stay in the local 4 newsroom and no one wants things to go back to the way they were. we finally get complements for good shows and there's no yelling in the newsroom. we can finally produce a news product we can be proud of. not only that, but it appears the people of detroit are willing to watch us again to. any chance management will notice what we are noticing in the newsroom? the vision that was brought to us by the other news director is just not what detroit wants to watch. more posts on this issue to come, but first let me tell you about this story that you could care less about......
