KPH0's 10 pm newscast improved nearly 40 percent from a year ago, while KPNX dropped more than 20 percent. KPHO's 5:00 newscast improved by more than 20 percent, while KPNX's 5:00 dropped by nearly 20 percent. And KPHO's 6:30 (which doesn't compete with any local newscasts) also improved. And I believe that KPHO was the only local station to have an increase in their news audience.
True, CBS's programming has also improved, helping its local newscasts. But KPHO's local news improvement is greater than the boost given by the network, and KPNX's local news decline is worse than its network.

because Kent is not that impressive or, perhaps, his co-anchors are not that impressive. Maybe KPNX should go and find someone who has anchored "forever" in the market and put them on.
