Longtime Seattle reporter and commentator Ken Schram used one of his commentaries to focus on what Seattlites know as "Lactivists." In other words, angry breast-feeding mothers who want to shake the stigma of breast feeding in public. But Schram fired back saying in essence, "It's natural...but so is urinating...You don't want to see me urinating in public, and I don't want to see mothers breast-feeding in public."
After the taped report, KOMO's main anchor, Kathi Goertzen responded by saying....
"Get over it Schram! What an idiot!" ON THE AIR...to the audible shock of her co-anchors. |

It was nice to see Kathi break the pattern of the typical Seattle news style (i.e. stiff, staid, and boring).
Plus, Schram is getting a little crotchety as he gets older--- he does need to get over it. I don't agree with nearly as many of his commentaries as I used to.
I laughed my head off when I heard Kathi's reaction--- and so did everyone I talked to about it.
