It was always my impression that Mr. Comings was somewhat of a 'golden boy'.
What was it specifically or even in a general sense that got him canned?
Also, is Jim Lemon the same guy who used to be an anchor in Tucson and in Hawaii.

...performance, or lack thereof. Comings had been nd there for 7 years and had pushed a losing news approach..one that focused on touchy-feely, "we tell stories" instead of straight-ahead reporting. Didn't work in the market...despite strongest reporting staff in the market, their numbers continued to tank. And with the highest paid anchors in the market to boot, that couldn't have sat well with the Gannett suits.
