Obviuosly you are new to Charlotte. Ron Miller was the ND, later Station Manager at WBTV when the station went from number 1 in the market to number 2. His history in Charlotte is more about WBTV than his association with the cable news channel he ran after WBTV fired him.

I think Ron was there when Jeff Pilot got sucked up by the Chubb Group. Chubb wanted bigger margins. The only way they could hit those margins was by unloading people. Particularly those making substantial salaries. This is not in defense of anyone, but the Chubb tactic drained the talent pool. They've never recovered the viewers. Who knows about the margins?
