If Jim wants to contribute to Tulsa TV, let him. He's earned respect and will finish his on air years when he is good and ready to do so.
The comment about his heart issues was just plain low-class, issued by someone who wants to work in Oklahoma but likely never will.
As for Frank Mitchell, he is a good morning weather presence who can't provide the severe weather coverage that KTUL in the evening time slot. Travis Meyer is a marginal presence during thunderstorm and tornado season, but marginal is better than none. And now that Trav is over at KOTV, Channel 8 needs to do some soul searching about what is needed in weather coverage in Tulsa.
