And more than 100 kids. Apparently all the kids & their parents prior to the trip signed wavers saying the chaperones were not there as babysitters, merely in case of emergencies.
Yes, they say at least 2 of the chaperones were there at Carlos n Charlies bar that night. The bar's website says there were about 15 locals in there when the 40 students arrived. I guess the rest were back at the hotel. |

My child wouldn't have gone. So the kids were there just running around the island without any adult supervision, some I'm sure for the first time. But then again I grew up in a house where our parents wouldn't dare let us stay out all prom night, forget getting us hotels. I'm sure more parents thought the chaperones would at least be responsible enough to make sure the kids made it back home alive.
