will finish my ma in december and already looking for an anchoring/reporting job in the industry. I left for two years because I was fed up but ready to return in Jan. |

Getting an advanced degree will help you compete in the labor force after you leave the business.
Remember, most of us leave this business eventually... some kicking and screaming, others run like hell.
That said, if you're choosing between an MA in say...journalism or another degree like an MBA or JD...do yourself a favor... get the MBA. It won't hurt you in journalism and will open the most doors when you leave.
